"RMJ is an excellent place to work where to you get all the support you need to improve your existing skills and to acquire new ones. To me personally, RMJ feels like family where colleagues are all approachable, supportive, and dedicated to their work. I have always felt at home here. The culture is one of inclusion where everyone feels fully accepted despite our differences. That is what truly makes RMJ a great place to work."
"My client was diagnosed with HIV and was suffering with multiple debilitating and life-limiting illnesses. As a result, she became a single parent of three children and fell into destitution after being hospitalised and losing her job. RMJ supported her by helping her gain the right to remain in the UK, as well as access to public funds. This has been critical in enabling her to support herself and her children, whilst she focuses on getting the care and support she needs. This case really showed me how meaningful the work is that we do at RMJ. I saw the family again a few months after the good news and could see how much difference it had made, both for the client and her children. Outcomes like this are what keeps us going, to continue fighting for the rights of our clients."

"Initially I joined RMJ as an intern, after the internship ended RMJ paid for me to attend training to take the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) level 1 exams. I continued working with RMJ as a volunteer until I secured a position as a full-time Immigration Advisor in the Rough Sleeping team. Since then, RMJ have supported me to attend more training and gave me study leave for the IAA level 3 exams which I passed. Within each role, I've had a challenging array of work to do and this has allowed me to continue to learn and grow professionally."

"The work we do at RMJ is truly life changing. Every day we support people who are trying to navigate incredibly difficult situations. Being able to stand beside them and offer advice and guidance is something that helps you grow both professionally and personally. People at RMJ care deeply about clients and about one another. You’re surrounded by colleagues who happily share their knowledge, support your personal development and share similar values and goals."
"I started at RMJ in 2018. I had just passed my Level 3 IAA and, with my only immigration casework experience being immigration bail work through volunteering at BID, I felt like a complete novice. From the first day it was clear that RMJ fostered an environment where no question was too big and support was freely given, and I quickly felt part of the team. Working on the rough sleeping service gave me a wide variety of cases and with the patient guidance of my manager my confidence developed quickly. As the service grew, so did my role; in 2020 I became a manager, supporting others in their professional development much as I had been supported. Throughout my time at RMJ, the professional and personal support of colleagues has been fundamental to my development from new caseworker to manager. I am very proud to be part of RMJ."

"At RMJ we are helping people facing life-altering challenges, or helping long-term residents stay in the place they call home. Knowing that we are helping so many people makes RMJ a great place to work. The outcomes truly matter. "
